Witness says teen friend shot by Ferguson Cop 'like an animal'


FERGUSON, Mo. — A friend who was walking beside black teenager Michael Brown when he was killed by a police officer says the 18-year-old victim had turned and put his hands in the air when he was shot "like an animal" in the head and chest.

Dorian Johnson, who was finally summoned by police and FBI Wednesday to give his account of the weekend shooting, gave his dramatic account Tuesday to KSDK-TV reporter Farrah Fazal..usatoday.

  Police Officer Caught On Video Calling Michael Brown Protesters 'F***ing Animals'

The tension in a St. Louis suburb following the shooting of an unarmed African-American teenager by a police officer was thrown into stark relief Sunday night in a video captured by CNN of a police officer yelling a derogatory phrase at protesters.
"Bring it, all you fucking animals! Bring it!" the officer said in the exchange.

  1. If the victim's friend is telling the truth it really does sound like the cop murdered this kid...

    Far too often cops think they have some special right to put their hands on fellow citizens just because they feel like it, but this is not and should not be a right they possess...

    Police must start training, and courts must start enforcing, a requirement that police MUST directly inform the subject that they are under arrest or that they are being detained and give them the opportunity to peacefully surrender, and if the subject does in-fact peacefully surrender then no physical force may be applied by the officer.

    There is zero need for cops to routinely batter citizens the way they routinely do.

  2. Good point. If there was a bullet inside the cop car it's most certainly not a simple matter of the kid being gunned down in cold blood. A thorough investigation needs occur before any conclusions are made (and I wouldn't be surprised if BOTH the cop and the kid were both at fault and didn't handle the situation the way they should've.)
